well ladies our food of the week is butternut.

so lets share all of our tips on making butternut as well as any recipes you wanna share.

We haven't gotten to squash yet, but I could use the ideas. So far the only veggies she's like are sweet potatoes and carrots. Hopefully butternut will go over well too!

Emily likes Gerber's Squash better than mine so sad yes I know. I wish I could do something to make it better but I have no idea what. She's never had anything added to her food for flavor yet. I don't even know if thats allowed!

My cousin has a baby food book and this recipe is in it. I've never used it but I think I'll try this one out and see if it helps Emily's dislike for my squash.

~6-10months~
Butternut Squash Barley
1 cube squash, thawed
Baby barley cereal

Prepare your baby barley cereal as usual. Add squash to cereal while warm. Serve immediately. Discard leftovers. Variation: add apple, cauliflower, pumpkin or potato.

Thea does usually like butternut, especially with apple - i call it applesquash!
