I gave Kaylin her first taste of oatmeal today!! It was a blast! We actually had a ton of fun being messy, playing with the spoons and bowls, taking pictures... LOL

My question .... Kaylin eats Enfamil AR formula. It is thickened with extra starch for Acid Reflux and to prevent spit up. It's already SUPER THICK. Like, milk shake consistancy.

How should I be mixing this with oatmeal?? I am using Gerber oatmeal, but I am homemaking the rest.
What consistency should it be? I can't get it very runny. But she is used to thick milk. Is it ok???

Any else use Enfamil AR and doing solids now?

well done on starting solids. arent they fun?
i havent had any experience with formula but could you not maybe add in some cooled boiled water as well to maybe thin it out a bit. but if you find she likes it thick then that is fine as well.

Today I tried it a little thicker... my line of thought was that she is already used to a thick milk, so maybe she will do better with thicker.

She LOVED it! It went even better today!

What a fun new stage!
