I tried to give Emery baby food chicken this morning . . . ewwwww. It smells so bad, I couldnt bring myself to taste it. He hated it. He will eat everything, even if he makes a face about it, he will still open his mouth. but not this stuff. Maybe he was taking my ques, I couldnt stop making that "This smells baaad" face, and all the "Oh yummy, chicken is good for your muscles" from me cant change the impact of that look.

Anyone have any recipies for meat baby food?

LOL - i knew you were talking about meat baby food before i even opened the thread!!!
we always had to mix it with something else for Damen to eat it. usually carrots, or potatoes, something along those lines. Damen also always loved the baby food that already had the meat mixed into it - his favorite was carrots and beef - it smelled pretty yummy too - like vegetable soup

I also dont give heaven the regular meats. I buy her the chicken veggies, beef veggies, beef and sweet potato, etc! try those, they work better!

OMG! I know!! It's awful isn't it?? It tastes just as bad - trust me! very boring, and GROSS!! Believe it or not, now anytime I open a jar of baby food - and the dog hears the "pop" - he comes running. How bad is that?!?

Just an update - I tried making chicken, which he thought was ok, but it was such a pain. The texture was different, it was really hard to wipe up. So I just got the things like ham & apples, turkey veggi dinner, chicken noodle dinner, etc and I am happy to report, he is a fan. He seems just as happy about the turkey dinners as he is about his fruit foods now. He also likes the mac & cheese gerber babyfood mixed with ham from a jar. I know, weird, but his big brothers really wanted him to have it because their favorite food when they were younger (theya re 13 and 11 now) was mac&cheese with hotdogs LOL.

Thanks for the advice
