I don't know who here has heard of Baby Led Weaning in regard to introducing solids but it is really complimentary to BFing. It is letting your baby learn how to feed him or herself, decide what and how much to eat, and you don't have to mess around with purees or baby cereal which really aren't necessary. You should really look into it and see if it is something that feels right for you and your LO. There will be a live chat with Gill Rapely, the author of the book Baby Led Weaning tomorr, the 14th at 8pm BST (which I think is 12noon PST). If you are at all interested in this let me know and I can direct you

We have been doing this with my son and meal times are SO MUCH FUN. He gets so excited when he gets to eat, and so do we. We love watching him explore and learn with food, and that he enjoys it so much.
