Hello

How are you?! And Ben?

Is he eating the same evening meals as you and SO? If so, what age did you graduate to that? How is he with his eating? Is he a fussy eater or does he eat anything?

Hi!

We are all well around here - finally! We all had a bug around Halloween that kind of lingered for a few weeks. Ugh!

Ben eats the same foods that we do - we started doing this probably around 10-12 months - he is very independent and wanted to do everything himself! So at first I just gave him a modified version of what we were having - cut up/less spicy/whatever, you know? Now he pretty much gets whatever we're having unless it's REALLY spicy (like chili or something). I usually serve at least 1 thing I know he likes (usually it's a bread/pasta) and then I know he'll eat at least something. He is a little picky (he never used to be!) - he won't touch most veggies anymore, but I always serve them and sometimes I get lucky! He is a HUGE snacker/muncher, and I think he would literally snack all day if I didn't intervene!

Overall, he's a pretty good eater. I don't always just serve him what he likes, I don't want to get caught in the trap of always making him something special - so some days he eats less than others.

Sounds like he's doing fab!!! ITA with the serving things he may not be so keen on. I hope Kirsty stays as she is... she'll eat anything

How did you find stopping BFing? Was it an easy journey for both you and Ben?

ETA: Awww I just read your other post about him self-weaning.

It actually was really easy weaning him. It was way sooner than planned, but not so bad. When he weaned, he was really only nursing at bedtime, and then for a week straight he was biting me (HARD! Ouch!), so I just...stopped trying. He did fine with it and that was all there was to it. I leaked for like...2-3 months randomly afterward, but no engorgement or pain or anything!
