My LO is 8 months old and just started to eat some table food.
I'm allergic to tomatoes so I make a mock tomato ("nomato") sauce that is made with canned beets and canned carrots and seasoning. Could she eat some of that? All the other veggies I give her are fresh, so wasn't sure about the canned stuff.
What to do is check the nutrition values of the cans, i.e. are they high in anything like salt or sugar, etc? If they are, I would limit Jillian's intake of the foods. Otherwise, I can't see that it would be an issue at all! The aim is to get our LOs to a stage where they eat the same as us, so in time you'll most likely use this sauce for her as you'll eat as a family. Just check the nutrition listings first.
