Hi Everyone! My LO, Ryan, is almost 8 monthes (WOW). He loves trying new food but it's extremely hard to figure out how much to give him... it seems like everytime I read something it contradicts the privious thing. This is what we feed him now:
Breakfast: Breastmilk, 2 Fruits, and Cereal
Mid-Morning: Baby Crackers (Gerber or Baby Mum Mum) and Breastmilk
Lunch: 1 Fruit, 1 Veggie, 1 Protien and Breastmilk
Mid-Afternoon: Baby Crackers (Gerber or Baby Mum Mum) and Breastmilk
Dinner: 2 Veggies, Protien, Cereal, and Fruit Juice (Watered Down)
Some of the things that we have read say that he should be trying out dairy.... other say not yet..... We were thinking about adding baby yogurt to the Mid-Mornng and Mid-Afternoon snack but we doing want to do anything harmful. I guess I should add neither DH or I have allergies.... and Ryan is on the small to average weight size. Any information you can provide would be great.... Thanks!
I introduced yogurt to Kirsty at around 6-7 months and she has done just fine with it. The only way you will know is to try him. Sounds like you're giving him a fab varied diet though and well balanced - WTG you!
As for how much to give... is he satisfied with what you give? Is he happy after eating ? He would most certainly let you know if he was still hungry! Just go by his cues
