I've been using plain jarred baby food (stage 2) and mixing it with dry infant rice cereal or oatmeal, but I've noticed more and more baby food that is pre-mixed with cereal or oatmeal. Just wondering if anyone is using this rather than dry cereals and if you give more or less jarred food this way. Thinking of using them for convenience. I have 3 little ones and every second counts, sometimes...especially during lunch and dinner. Thanks!
Oh, and my dd is 8 1/2 months old.

I've never used jarred baby foods so I couldn't say for sure but I would imagine if its already bulked up with cereal then you wouldn't need to add the dry stuff

I have WIC so the kinds with cereal already added in them are not allowed. Mostly I have to add some oatmeal or rice cereal to thicken up my DS food. He doesnt like runny.

But when I know we are going to be out all day then I will buy one of those that are pre-mixed. It is easier to feed him on the go. I just grab that, a bib and a spoon and I dont need to worry about the messy dry cereal.

I'm so sorry, I did do a huge post in this thread but it vanished with all the posts from the 14th - I hadn't realised.

The other girls have offered some good advice there!
