These general guidelines will help you plan meals during this stage. Every baby is different and your little one will let you know how much she needs to eat. She'll also eat different amounts on different days. Print out this guide and post it on your refrigerator for reference.
Feeding Guidelines (approximate amounts per day)
Breast milk or formula -- 24-32 oz. in 6-8 feedings fed with meals or in-between Stage 1:
Cereal (*5-8 Tbsp. or ½ oz.*)
Fruit (½ jar or 2 oz.)
Vegetable (½ jar or 2 oz.)
Meat (½ jar or 1-1 ½ oz.)
Juice (½ jar or 2 oz.) – optional
¼ cup prepared Cereal
Fruit or Juice (1 ½-2 ½ oz.) -- juice optional
I was told no solids until 6mths. I started cereal, just rice at4ish mths (nothing consistant until 5mths) but no veggies,fruits or meats until 6 (actuallyy were just almost dine veggies) i wouldnt suggest anything for babies at 4 mths.
