Feeding Cohen has been a really big struggle the last few days, it always has been but its just getting worse. He doesnt seem to even want to eat, and he wont pay attention. He is either trying to grab the highchair strap so he can suck on it, or he is trying to grab the spoon. I have to say his name over and over to get him to look at me and realise I have some food for him and then he opens up and takes the food but cries if i dont let him keep the spoon. I have tried giving him another spoon to play with, but he just wants the one that has the food on it, so i end up swapping spoons over and over cause he thinks the one ihave is better and then its just a big mess everywhere and he is still crying and getting mad, and the game of trying to get his attention to open up continues. Anyone have any advice or tricks? he isnt on finger foods yet becuase we only started solids at 6 months.
Id say that is getting frustrating.
Im not sure how old he is. But maybee if you put the spoon in his hand and with your help get little bits of food and help him get it in his mouth? I have no idea if this will work or not. But maybee he just feels like he wants to help mommy feed him..
*hugs* I hope it gets better!
I sometimes have that problem with Aiden. Usually, I will hold his hand down and feed him. Or I will pretend that I like the food too. Sometimes if I get him to laugh I can sneak it in there...hehe. I am not too sure. I hope that things get better for you soon!!
