Dylan hated sweet potatoes....he loved carrots and we just started squash today and he loves that one too!! I think he has finally realized hey this stuff is good. I think he is up to eating about 1/2 of one of those plastic gerber size 1 containers at a sitting. He gets that for breakfast and lunch. Once we get through all the veggies we are going to add in a fruit for breakfast
I started Trey on sweet potatoes and he loved them. I then tried green beans and he wasn't too sure of them. He hates peas even if I try to mix it with something he likes he doesn't want them. Trey seems to like his yellow/orange veggies best and he loved all the fruit! I give him fruit for breakfast and veggies for lunch. He was eating 2 of those plastic gerber things but I scaled it back to one because they have a lot of sugar in them and he wasn't napping!
We started Jacob on green veggies (sweet peas and green beans), and he HATED them. He would literally spit them out and cry, with this horrible look on his face. So we moved on to yellow/orange veggies. He likes sweet potatoes okay, and he LOVES carrots and squash. We are on to Stage 2 foods already, and he also really likes sweet potatoes and corn...he just had it for the first time a couple days ago and gobbled it up!
