How did you know that your baby was ready to go from the stage 1 foods to the stage 2 foods?

I decided based on 2 things--
1) He was eating more than one stage 1 jar--he started eating 1 fruit and 1 veggie at each sitting.
2) We tried all the 1's and I wanted to try some of the 2's (like blueberries and apples)

Same as above!
I am still going to hold of on the meat ones for a little while I think.

Zoe loves the apples and blueberries!

I wasn't planning to meats until 8 months (I don't know why--that age just sticks with me)! Has anyone's baby tried the Apricots yet--Troy loves those almost as much as the blueberries!

I went to stage 2s after Cohen had tried all the stage 1s. For meats I waited till 8 months becuase I believe the jars said 8 months and I have also read thats the age when they should have them.

I went from stage 1 to stage 2 when Garrett was still hungry after the 2 stage 1 jars. The stage 2 really isn't that much thicker, it is just bigger. I like the stage 2 because they have alot more to choose from.

Geez I never thought about this (as I am staring at my stocked up cubbard of Stage 1's LOL). Jakob is no where near finishing a whole container of S1, but I only give him 1-2 tblspns. Should I give him more? I am sure he would eat more, but I don't want to give him too much. He will drink a lot less of his bottle then.

I don't think Jenna is ready yet. She is happy with one jar of the stage one. She doesn't always finish it.

I started giving Kaitlyn stage 2's when the 1 wasn't enough b/c there isn't any difference, just a bigger jar. She goes through a four-ounce jar and then 3-4 ounces of formula.

I did try to give her a little bit of turkey & turkey broth and chicken & chicken broth but she didn't like it so I'm holding back on meats for a while.

I am on to some stage 3s right now...altho Aiden is having a bit of a hard time with some of those foods because they are chunky and harder to swallow!

I went to a class sponsored by Gerber and the nutritionist said once they can sit up on their own they are ready for stage 2.

Go here and you can find some info.
