Dylan really doesnt like fruit much. I have tried all of them except the applesauce(that will be in another 3 days). I usually end up throwing out half a container because he just doesnt like it. He gets that for breakfast and then a little after dinner. I can get a couple of spoonfuls down him and thats it.

Any suggestions?

Cohen is the same way Have you tried different brands? The only fruit Cohen likes is applesauce but even then, if I give him a different brand he hates it, it has to be beechnut. He hates all other fruits, but I just keep giving them to him because some days he surprises me and will eat a bunch, other days he makes that sour face and wont open up at all. What happenes with Cohen is I give him his veg and meat and I think he is a little shocked by the sorta sour fruit flavor so he doesnt want anymore lol. So I try and name the food each time I give it so that eventually he will know whats coming. I find the first few mouthfuls he is not impressed with but then he warms up when he knows what is coming.

What about mixing in it with cereal ??
I haven't tried that ,Nevaeh hasn't had fruits yet .. But that's what I plan on doing !

I like Erin's idea of you taking a bite and having him watch ! That might work !

Good luck !

They have fruit/veggie mixes--maybe you could start with one of those and then try the same fruit alone. Troy's first fruit was a squash/pears mix. I am not sure of what brand has them though.

He has taken to fruit a little bit better lately. We tried the stage 2's appls and blueberries and he loves that one. He ate banana's this morning. I guess it just took a little getting used to for him!!!
