A few weeks ago, Troy was sick and had no desire to eat solids. We simply BF more often and things were okay. Now, he is a bear almost everytime I try to put him in the high chair. He's not sick, but seems to hate being restrained. I don't really have any where else to feed him since he isn't into the exersaucer as much and holding him--forget it. He just wants to be down and crawling or playing. I have given him a toy to play with and sometimes that will pacify him enough to eat, but other times--it's a nightmare (by the way--diaper changing is sometimes like this as well--you would think I beat him the way he acts ). Is anyone else going through this, gone through is, have suggestions....?

Oh--I know BF is sufficient enough, but sometimes he is even too wiggly to do that for very long???

I notice with Dylan that if I dont have his food and everything ready right there we have a problem. I usually just shove the food in his mouth so quickly because otherwise he screams.

We are also having a wiggle worm when i change his diaper too.

Hopefully it passes for you soon!!!!

I have been wondering that, but it doesn't matter if he ate 3 hours ago or 4 or if it's only been 1--same thing (most of the time). I have tried different foods--one's I know he likes to see if that helps and sometimes it will hold his interest longer, but other's--whew! It's turning meal time into dreaded time! I think he may be teething though--not positive bc he drools and chews on everything all the time. That may be causing some problems as well! Who knows!?

oh I am going through this too... sorta anyway. Cohen doesnt have a fit when I restrain him in the high chair but he is just so preoccupied with other things! all he wants to do is chew on the belt which is gross, I dont want him chewing on that with food in his mouth and then chewing on it again next feed you know? so i am always having to pull away the belt piece and then he has a fit and cries. if he doesnt notice the belt he is busy looking at absolutely anything and paying no attention to me. I am having a hard time getting him to eat enough, his doc said he isnt eating enough solids. I tried cutting back on the milk but he didnt pee much when I did that so that scared me.

Oh and diaper changes! AHHHHH oh they are not fun! I cannot get this kid to stay still and he isnt even crawling, but everytime i lay him to change his diaper he just wants to roll over and explore and it truly amazes me how strong they are becuase I CANNOT force him to stay on his back, he is stronger than I am!

I am sorry I have no advice, just wanted you to know that you are not alone.

Yes and no--he still gets fussy, but if I give him a spoon he will play and distract himself some-it still isn't easy though. I hope it changes soon!
