The ladies in my playroom are great, but I would like to ask here also.

Starting this weekend, Connor refuses to eat any baby food. He will eat his cereal and fruit for breakfast, but will clamp his mouth shut when I try to feed him lunch or supper. He won't even eat the fruit. Do I just give him the bottles for now and then try again in a week or so, or should I just keep trying to feed him every day? If I keep trying to feed him every day, I am wasting a lot of food. I just don't know what to do.

I think I would keep on it. I know that its wasting a lot of food but Dylan did the same thing a few weeks ago and I kept feeding him and it only lasted a day or two. I think it may have had something to do with his teeth. But I think I would keep feeding him. Hopefully it only lasts a few days!

Oh I have been there too and boy is it frustrating. I tried and tried and tried and he went through a period where all he would do is breastfeed. I kept trying and messing with the timing and finally got some stuff worked out, but now that he is teething, it's messed up again so your troubles could be teeth related as well! Good luck and try to be patient--it will work itself out!

I would keep trying to give it to him. Blaise hasn't never refused to eat baby food, but there have been a few times where he would only eat half a jar instead the whole jar. So maybe he doesn't feel good, or his teeth are bothering him. There could be so many things that could be wrong. If I was you I would still try to give it to him. Good Luck!

Cohen had a cold once around 7 months old and refused solids so i let it be for about 3 days. he has also had fazes here and there where he woudlnt eat much. i wasted alot of food and it sure does suck to waste lol, but its like out of nowhere his tastes changed and he suddenly became way more interested. if you suspect your baby isnt feeling well i would say maybe give it a break for 2 days or so if he seems satisfied by his bottle, but if you think it may have anything to do with pickiness or anything, just try and liven things up. offer more variety at each meal like a spoonful of carrots followed by a spoonful or peas and back and forth etc. that worked well to get cohen to eat more.

Yup, turns out he wasn't eating cause he was getting a tooth. On the very same day that I posted that, his first tooth came in. He has been eating fairly well since then until early this week. Yesterday his second tooth came in. So I will have to see how it goes from here.

Thanks for the replies
