When do you start babies on toast? Do you use 100% whole wheat, or is 60% alright? Do you cut it into tiny pieces, or little strips?

I was reading MY baby book and I was eating toast at 6 months. I didn't have any teeth yet, and Aylie has 3 already. She's definitely not allergic to wheat either.

Thanks ladies!

Preston is 6 months and like the Zweibeck Toast by Gerger. We aren't planning on giving him toast or breads 'til around 10-12 months. We are going to give him 100% whole wheat, cause that is the kind of bread we buy in our home. (Sara Lee is 100% whole wheat and is very soft and taste GREAT)

Hmm, I wonder if we have the Zwieback toast in Canada? Can't remember ever seeing them, but I'll look for them next time. Thanks!

Maybe you can purchase dry toast at a grocery store. It will get real soft when they chew on it.

Donovan gets toast once in awhile. I make whole wheat toast and tear it up into little pieces. He also had pieces of breadstick at the olive garden the other night. He loved it! He had spaghetti too. lol

When Brody was 6 months before he got teeth I was making toast and cutting it into strips for him. He now has 6 teeth, I tried giving it to him in strips againt but he takes huge bites out of it, so now I just break it into little pieces and put it on his tray.
