A lot of the girls from work say to start giving babies vegetables rather than fruit...
Something about they'll want sweet first if you give them fruit first...
Okay so I know vegetables first... Then they started saying something about
which color to give them... First its orange, then green, then yellow... Vice versa.
I'm not too sure which order the colors go,
but do any of ya'll know what I'm talking about??
And what correct order I'm supposed to feed it to my baby?
Orange- Carrots, squash, peaches,
Green- Peas, green beans
Green then yellow then orange. The green ones are the yucky ones like peas, green beans ans any other green veggie you plan to feed. The yellow ones tends to taste a little better like squash or any other yellow ones. The orange ones are supposed to get them ready for fruits like carrots and sweet potatoes. Then you introduce fruits.
We just finished with peas and today I will start green beans (I make homeade food) Preston will not get ANY fruit 'til we have tried ALL the veggies. Everyone does it different though. I will follow the "veggies first then fruits" guideline.
I am surprised you have heard of that. People I tell it to are like "What are you talking about, there is an order?"
Good luck, post your story when you feed peas. Preston hated them, but I made him eat them anyways.
I think I started with carrots too. I'm severly allergic to peas and beans so I don't want to try DD on those anytime soon. So we skipped right to carrots. I alternated veggie, fruit, veggie, fruit and so on, and have had no problems. She's liked everything she's tried so far, with the exception to avocados (and I can't blame her!!) though she does eat them fine when they're mixed with something.
