Not sure if this is the right board for this question. My daughter is 4 months so I have a while before I have to worry about it, but I was just curious. What does a soy formula fed baby go to after they are off formula? Soy Milk? Can they try Milk after they turn 1? Something different? Thanks!

Xander is on Nutramigen and they told me that they will try him again on regular formula when he is 9 months old to see how he does. If he does ok on the regular formula then we can try starting him on milk when he turns 1. If the real milk doesnt work out for him I am not sure what we are gonna do because he is allergic to soy.

Yeah...Enfamil has the Next Step formula for kids up to 2 yrs. My grandma said my uncle had to stay on nutramigen until he was 2 yrs old. I hope Xander doesnt have to stay on it that long..it's soo expensive..lol.

my ds went onto soy milk after soy formula... he is 3 and still drinks soy milk...

If allergic to soy, they make rice milk...he likes that too

DS was on soy formula because of GERD and gas. When he turned 1 we slowly switched to regular formula. He was fine with that so then we slowly swtiched to milk
