Like can I put a piece of apple into one of those mush feeders and let my 5 month old chew & suck on it?

We got one when Ryan was a baby. We always had him up to the table when the family was eating, and he soon wanted to eat what everyone else had. The mesh feeder was wonderful to use so we could pop a piece of fruit, or even meat, into it and he could enjoy the meal and we didn't have to stress about him choking. It cleaned up great in the silverware tray of the dishwasher.

I am DEFINITELY getting one of these for Kiara - maybe she'll learn to chew instead of just swallow. That's what she does now and she chokes on everything.
