My big goal here would to be about a size 12. I think that would be about a 40 lb. loss.
I have begun losing weight already and have lost 12 lbs. I joined a gym about 5 weeks ago and have been dieting. I have lost about 12 lbs so far.
I have found SparkPeople.com to be helpful. I'm also a BIG fan of EAS Myoplex Light Protein Shakes.

WTG so far michelle! sounds like you are totally on the right track.
Do you have a goal date that you would like to lose that 40 lbs by?
i really liked sparkpeople too when i used it before. the only thing that bothered me about it is that the meal plans dont have the option for lactose free and i do not tolerate the lactose.

-6 lbs today at the Dr! I went to the gym for the first time since H1N1. I made it through 200 calories on the Eliptical, pushing to get there. My cough was going NUTS. Maybe I should have waited a couple of more days??
For Breakfast I had:
A package of McDs apple dippers {no Caramel}
A 16.9 ounce bottle of water
Lunch:
Turkey and American Cheese on a Whole Wheat Bagel Sandwich
Fun size pack of M&Ms.
I'm also wanting to eat a TON right now. That's where the M&Ms came in. One bag. That's it. No more. That's a decent "Treat" for a major craving right??
Dinner:
Ramen Noodles I was really really craving them
4 chicken wings
Snack:
Sm. bowl Cheerios with Skim Milk
33 more ounces of water total

I think that m&m reward sounds good, keeps you from overdoing it but still lets you have sweets. Also, for the cough, just do what you can, make sure you hydrate lots and take a few days to work back to where you were. you may need to take it easier for a week or so but working out will also help get the crud outta your lungs too!

Wed 12/2
Breakfast:
Bowl of Cheerios w/ Skim Milk
20 ounces of water
Lunch:
A couple of handfuls of popcorn-- never hungry with a migraine.. Almost dinner time and still no desire to eat I've still got a bit over a week until I'm at max dose of migraine meds. Anyone have any ideas for this? I'll prob. have a protein shake.

Good job Michelle getting started is always the biggest step to take. I always loved the protein shakes too - really good for the PCOS diet...high protein low carb!!!
