its my bosses 40th birthday today (its 1am here) and shes having a party which made me wonder what to do for dh in 3 years what do you all want to do for your 40th and what will you do for dh.

dh's is in 3 years and i'm thinking either a very special day out or a surprise family holiday.

for me i'd like a family get together for a meal or something or a holiday my kids will be 18,11,7 (hopefully on last one)

I have no idea what I want to do LOL I have a long while to think about it though. Probably just a nice family dinner. My kids will be 17 (almost 18) 16.5 and #3 probably around 14 or 15 if we have a 4th he or she would be around 11 or 12

Well, I'm working on planning my 21st..and that's 2 years away. Haven't even thought of my 40th....holy crap, Marcus will be 21! I am trying to get my mom to tell me what she wants for her 40th, she's 5 years away and refuses to talk about it.

Omg, you guys are so young! I'm only 4 birthdays away from 40! So it doesn't seem like this far off strange number to me unfortunately. Dh turned 40 this year and we went to this little camping village (santa's village) as a family. I asked and that's what he wanted to do.......Please tell me I'm not the only one in my 30's! LOL

LOL Megan! No girl, you're not the only 30's girl here...I'm 31 ;-) Will be 32 in March!

Josh will be 40 in two years...and I'm pretty sure we'll still be here on Maui...so I'd like to plan ahead and plan a trip home for his bday and celebrate with all our family & friends. Then maybe do a separate night out for our immediate circle of friends and do a lil dinner/dance night out! Maybe even a short getaway trip?! Leave the kiddies with grandparents!

I turned 30 in November....If my 30's go as fast as my 20's did....I'M IN TROUBLE! I hope to have a great party for my 40th. I was breastfeeding a newborn for my 21st and I was pregnant for my 30th. Hopefully I get to have some fun for my 40th!

Well I'll be 40 next year and my kids will be 13, 9, 5 and 2. I'd love to go on a holiday (without the kids ) but that probably won't happen. Just a nice quiet dinner with DH would be great, I'm not a big fan of surprise parties or even big gatherings. I guess I'll have to do something with my family. But a surprise BFP or even the fact that we'll start ttc would be the best present ever!

That reminds me I have to plan a party for my dh he turns 40 in October and I'll hope he gives me one the next year.

I have no clues what to get people other than gag gifts. Like and over the hill mug or something signifying your getting old.

Personally I'd like a gift card for some place not novelty gifts.

I just turned 33 a couple weeks ago and DH will be 33 in June, so I've got a little time to plan still. It's going to be hard to out-do DH's parents and their birthday celebrations! FIL just turned 60 and MIL rented a double-decker bus for a pub crawl for his party! I'd love to do something like that as it was tons of fun!
