2012 = everyone is having babies.

well. it's proving to be a theme amongst our friends and family. 2012 will be the year to add little ones to their homes. let's just do a little run down of when these babies are gonna make their arrival.

december 23rd - friends had a little boy
february - friends due
april - friends due
april - cousin due
may - friend of family due (this one annoys the crap out of me too)
june - cousin due (found out at x-mas)
june - step sil due (this one infuriates me to no end)

lets see....would anyone else like to announce their pregnancy and send me into a tantrum.

the last one we found out about was the step sil. we returned home from seeing my family for x-mas to pick up our dog from the in-laws and her dad says 'well we've got some unexpected news...we are gonna be grandparents. xyz is pregnant and due the end of june'. i couldn't even muster up a fake smile, a congrats, nadda, zilch. surely i had the most pissed off look on my face, and my jaw was resting on the floor. there are numerous reasons why her being pregnant pisses me off, but most of all because i've heard nothing but comments non stop from my in-laws about wanting a grandbaby and now SHE is giving them their first grandchild and not us and my husband is suuuuuuppper hurt and upset about it. so much that he cried on the car ride home. i'd have to go into details to paint a picture of why this is so upsetting but trust me, you'd be furious too.

anyways. i'm thinking of making a sticker to wear that says 'if you plan to announce that you are pregnant, or that you know of someone that is pregnant, spare me, i don't wanna hear it'

yep. aren't i just a pleasant one. sorry to sound like the biggest ***** on earth but i'm really having some issues with having been with my husband for almost 12 years now and we still haven't had a freaking baby. no ones problem but our own, but after a while it takes it toll, and i've become bitter about it.

please tell me i'm not a horrible person. lol.

Most of my friends are in this boat. If they didn't have a 2011 baby, they're having a 2012 baby. Makes me want to rip my hair out.

and if my hubby has his way, I will def not be announcing a pregnancy before you.. in fact you'll probably have two before I even get to start.

That must hurt so badly... I don't think you sound like the biggest ***** at ALL. I got a text message from a co-worker of his brand new baby 1 week after I lost mine...I actually threw my phone across the room was screaming at my DH and took an additional week off of work. I was so hurt and furious and every emotion in between. I'm in the same boat at work as you are with friends/family. I was one of 19 pregnant people....everyone is having babies...and it just plain HURTS.

I'll take one of those t-shirts if you don't mind making two.

I don't think you are a ***** in the slightest! I know this because I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU!!!

I have literally heard three pregnancy announcements TODAY! One yesterday and about one per day on average for the past two weeks. That is just the pg announcements, not even the people I know that are already pg or have had babies recently. It's really starting to take it's toll, especially since I am having all of these "issues" lately.

So no worries, I think you are completely entitled to your feelings. Even though we all want to be happy for everyone that is getting to experience that miracle, it is still so frustrating to keep hearing pg announcement after pg announcement.

So yeah, I'd like to order one of those shirts too, thanks

I have SO been in that boat. I am doing okay right now, since my baby is only 7 months old but it is slowly starting to get to me. I even almost cried when my friend went into labor the other day, not because I wasn't happy for her but just because I miss that excitement and anticipation.

We've got a few babies coming up in 2012. My brother and his wife are having a little boy in February and my aunt is due in May. I am trying to fight it off but I can feel the jealousy slowly creeping in. I am sure I will be whining come February.

I have tons of pregnancies/new babies around here, too, and I get jealous, I will admit!

I feel like the WORST person for saying this but sometimes what makes me feel better is thinking that since we are waiting a little bit, they will all be done when we get pg again, and then they will all be jealous of ME. LOL!

I know the feeling! I get excited for the ladies on JM but ladies in real life usually get the stink eye from me. In fact with all the recent pregnancy updates around me I have only been truly happy for one couple and that was Dh's cousin and his wife. They had a loss last summer so I am excited for them.

Youre not horrible at all... we can all relate. Most days my baby fever is under control but its been really tough lately and I only have a handful in my face.

Bahaha! I've thought of that, too. Although I have a feeling that one of them will likely TTC as soon as they find our we're expecting again, regardless of what kind of situation they may be in.
