The board is a little dead so I thought maybe we could share a litte about our SOs. What do they do for a living? OR how you guys met, your first kiss or a cute story.
Yes I am feeling a little mushy and want to hear cute stories.

My husband works at the Olympic Park. He is a crew leader on the Bobsled Track. During the winter they make ice and maintain the track-lots of physical work. He also works in the tower calling events and races. During the summer, he pilots sleds. They have modified sleds with wheels for summer-very fun
Our first kiss was on Dec 16, 7 years ago. It was the single most amazing kiss I have ever had! He had been 'rejected' and I told him I wanted a friend so by the time I realized what I really wanted, I had to make to first move-not something I did a lot of. So after bringing him and a couple friends home late one night, I went back up to the door and knocked. He came out, we talked for a second, he was concerned since I showed back up. Then in one smooth move, I took off his hat and kissed him. Best. Kiss. Ever. Like from a movie. We picked our wedding date, June 16, because it was a year and a half from that kiss. I always get mushy around this time

Cute idea
My hubs is a Network Administrator (IT) for an electronics company. We first met though when we were both working for a newspaper. I was a reporter and he was doing IT for that company. We worked in cities about an hour apart though, so he did all of our IT stuff over the phone. I remember calling him for help with my computer, and thinking that he had the sexiest voice! lol. He still won't believe me that I thought that, but I really did. I was in a relationship at the time though and so was he. About a year and a half after I started working there, I broke up with my BF at the time and got invited to (now) DH's bday party. I went with some other friends and was looking to date some new guys. Well, we ended up both having a few drinks and just hit it off from there. The rest is history. *sigh* LOL
Our first kiss was a couple weeks later at a friend's house. We were alone on the couch and he just planted one on me! Then, one of our guy friends walks in and is like, uhhhh....
LOL, so awkward! But still awesome

My husband is a Unexploded Ordnance Technician (UXO, for short) and a gate guard at the AFB here. Once he can find more steady work as a UXO tech, he will quit at the base.
Our love story is a long one, but here is the short version: We've known each other FOREVER. We met back up in HS when I was dating a guy and DH was dating my best friend. Me and said guy broke up, him and girl broke up. My ex and his ex started dating, me and DH started dating.
Our first kiss was in the hallway at a friends house. I had just told him that I liked him and he said he liked me, too but I thought he was just being nice. Our mutual friend knew we were into each other and talked DH into making a move (DH was shy!) and the rest is history.

I love these kinds of stories!! I'm not actually a mushy kinda gal, but that's how I knew Josh was "the one"...he is the ONLY one who has ever and still makes me ALL mushy and squishy and butterfly-y inside
Josh and I met New Years Eve 2008, at my BFFs NYE party...he was her neighbor...anyways, eventually our drunken hazy eyes met, we zeroed in on each other and were inseparable all night. Literally. In the morning he was very gentlemanly and we parted ways. The day after New Years, we had NY after party and he came over and that's when the talking started. We talked and talked and talked...it was like breathing...no thought to it...was as easy and natural as the air I was breathing and things we talked about went far beyond what our favorite color or movie was. Eventually I just looked at him and said "are you ever going to kiss me" and just planted one on him and it was electrical...he still makes me feel "the zing" every time ;-)
At the time I was in Vegas and he was in my hometown so we started a long distance relationship. On a visit he came up to Vegas, I had the "oh my god, he is the one" moment. We were at a lounge just hanging out, doing the Vegas thing...Hotel California came on and we went to go slow dance...as we danced, i literally felt the overwhelming intense emotion of love and knew without a doubt Josh was going to be the man I spent the rest of my life with. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. The whole dance floor evaporated and became blurry and hazy and I all I saw was Josh. So so intense...and HOtel California is "our song". People think its weird, but anytime Josh and I hear it...we always exchange a knowing glance &/or touch to acknowledge that moment in time for us.
ETA: Oops! Forgot to mention what it is he does...Josh is a senior manager for Costco. His goal is to have his own warehouse...not too far off...I'm so proud of him, all his hard work, and determination...once upon a time he started out in the Costco food court dishing pizza.

DBF is a musician, and that leads to a bunch of random jobs. Actual gigs, some advertising work, lessons, and some production stuff in studios. He's also a bartender, and, uh, recently took a job as a go-go dancer. He makes pretty good money at it! It's at the same club he bartends in, just on a different night. And decided to go back to school to get his teaching certification. Something about having a family and needing something a touch more stable. I'm proud of him for doing this because he hates school. He'll make a great teacher, he's patient and he's passionate about music, but he only went to college in the first place to shut his parents up. So to go back for more classes so he can support his family, it just makes me so proud to be his partner.
We met when we were doing set up for a Battle of the Bands. He was actually playing in it, I was just setting up and doing some backstage work. But he was way to shy to ask me out, so I asked him out. We went and played laser tag, which is actually when we had our first kiss. Hehe.

My husband is in the Army. Right now he is attending the DLI learning Tagalog, he will graduate in March and then go finish his AIT and get his actual job training to be a linguist.
We first met when I was in 4th grade and he was in 5th. I was a tom boy and we were play fighting on the playground. I swung and he didn't move fast enough so I ended up punching him right in the nose, blood was everywhere but he still told the teachers it was an accident so I didn't get in trouble. He moved to another school a couple years later and we met again when we were 18 and he was helping me train for college cheerleading. We had both just gotten out of serious relationships and ended up being rebounds for each other. We broke up 6 weeks later (when we both realized we weren't over our exes and it wasn't fair to the other) and two weeks later I found out I was pregnant.
Our families wanted us to get married right away but we refused. We spent the next almost two years getting to know each other and going from disliking each other, to a slow friendship, and eventually right after Addi turned one we decided to try a relationship again. We were married a year later.

My husband is a System Service Representative at IBM Canada.
We met 16 years ago (this January!) as we were both working at a Travelodge Hotel. He was the front desk man and I was a bartender/waitress in the bar. It literally was love at first sight. We had our first kiss in the basement of his mother's house.
A year later we decided to move in together and that exact day he found out that he got a job 8 hours away. We just looked at each other and nodded...I was going with him. We were married a couple years after that. 2 kid, 3 cats, 1 dog later and we're going strong! He's the most amazing man I've ever met.

My DH is an airplane mechanic. He basically works for a big name company that contracts for all the major airlines to fix their in-flight entertainment or other electrical issues.
We met in HS, we became BFFs the summer after freshman yearend then started dating the winter of our sophomore year. After 4 years of long-distance in college we somehow pulled through and got married the month after I graduated.

DH is an IT Tech for a school district, he's #2 in the department. He is amazing at what he does, computers are so easy for him to mess with. He was taking them apart when he was like 10.
Now to get mushy!
We met in 2000, he was in 8th grade and I was in 7th. I was visiting my cousin and he was my cousins friend, there helping him fix his computer. We all hung out, exchanged yahoo screen names and when I got home started chatting. We chatted online almost every day, became fast friends and eventually were best friends sharing our darkest secrets. We talked on the phone a few times but not much. I saw him at my uncles wedding a few years later and knew I liked him more than a friend, I was trying to dress up and be cute for him. It didn't work. He was afraid of a long distance relationship and we were so young. We went along being best friends, talking online almost daily, until 2006 he invited me to go to a work retreat with him. We had separate beds but spent 4 days with each other and it was non stop fun, including tickle fights. I had major jaw surgery June 2006 and when I was recovering he sent me an email, that I still have, that explained how he has strong feelings for me and has for a long time and wanted to start a relationship. We began a romantic relationship then and had out first kiss a few months later on a hill overlooking the whole bay area at night. It was magical! Now we are married (Sept. 17th, 2011) and planning to TTC a baby! Who would have thought!?!

My DH is a copier technician for a company that contracts with Xerox, Canon, etc. He does the initial set up and programming.
We met in 1997 and were best friends (he had a gf and I had a BF) until 1999 when we were both single and things unexpectedly took a turn. Our first kiss was November 4, 1999 at a football game....and I kissed HIM! AH! lol May 25 will be our 12 year wedding anniversary. And he still takes my breath away

Well DH and I met at work. I started working in the office at the Rain gutter company in February and after time we talked more and more and then last weekend in June he called me about 40 times on my cell. At that time I would turn my phone off when I was at home so when I turned it on Sunday afternoon I found about 15 messages from him. I called him back and we went to Lunch that day. Originally it was just lunch but then we went to a movie too. The movie Crash.
We went out to dinner or a movie every night that week. I met his family the following weekend for the 4th of July. He met my parents for my birthday the week after that.
Then the last week in October when I got back from a trip to Tennessee to see family he proposed. Then April we got married. That was 6 years ago.
He still works at the same place now but is hoping to change to a better job sometime soon.

DH is a boiler maker. Basically he keeps the coal burning plants in the US running so ya'll don't run out of power. LOL. Awful and dirty job, I can't wait until he can find another.
Dh and I met online in a video game. I'd been playing several months when i decided to start over. i joined another server (#49, and at the time the newest.. there are several hundred now lol). Well this mean player basically ran me into the ground as soon as he could. Then DH did it. Man, I was a baby player and he squashed me!
Well, five months later I'm now siting at the head of my alliance and he's at the head of his..and we're allies so he would help me with battle stuff. Fast forward a few months, and I left my alliance and joined another and was no longer in charge.. it was like a light switch was flipped. He was a totally different person! He was funny, and flirty. We hit it off, and I fell in love.. and then my world collapsed.
I found out he was married, and had a son. Neither of which he had disclosed. He'd never expected us to hit it off, he had just wanted to talk naughty online... but then he didn't know how to tell me. He was miserable and knew he wanted a divorce, but didn't want to be alone. So he'd stayed. I was in love, and heart broken, so i told him I'd give him a year to file and get divorced. If he didn't, I'd walk away.
less than 45 days later his divorce papers were signed. Almost 70 days to the day that I found out about his real life he walked off a plane in NS and I took off running into his arms. our first kiss happened in the airport. lol. I got to spend 10 magical days with him before he had to go home, but 2 months later I boarded a plane in Halifax and came to the US.. and I've not left since. We've gotten married, I've gotten a step son who adores me (as long as I'm not acting like a mom, then I'm mean and "fired") and my life is good.
I do not always feel good about how our relationship started, especially since I didn't walk away after finding out. We also felt bad that the ink was barely dry on his divorce papers before we ran away and got married (exactly 1 month after it was final we were married)... I can only take comfort in the fact that he did file for divorce right away, we were never face to face before he filed.
and the mushy... when we did our vows, since the preacher didn't tell us to say "I do" dh responded to the question with "Forever" My man's a sap.

My husband is laid off and only started working in the warehouse for Swing N Slide on November 17 after being unemployed over a year.
We met through a mutual friend in 1991. He'll say November and I say October. I was throwing a party where I was house sitting and invited my friend and he needed a ride which turned out to be my future dh. We did not talk after that day until just before Christmas when my friend asked if I remembered his friend and that he has been asking about me. So we talked on the phone a lot over the next weeks. I was dating to guys already and with the holidays I never broke up with anyone until after.
So on January 16th, 1992 we had our first date. We ate at Mc Donald's and went to his house and watched the Simpsons. It was the next day when we had our first kiss and my stomach got butterflies in it and I knew from that moment on that I loved him and that he was the one! We got married January 16th, 1997 and in 15 days we will have been together 20 years and married for 15 of them.
