Can I just say, I am NOT one of those women who enjoys NOT having a period? Okay, don't get me wrong; I HATE having headaches, cramps, being a moody and grumpy bizatch but I am pretty certain that I go much more crazy waiting for that wench to return than I do when I know she's expected each month.

After I had DD, I went crazy. I mean, literally. I took IC OPK's and HPT's everyday from the time she was 6 months until I got my period back at 12 months. Yes, that's right, I took BOTH tests, everyday, for 6 months straight.

So now, I am hitting that point again. I took a test tonight (since, ya know, I don't have a period to base anything off of) and there was a line. Crap. So I sat there, got nervous, thought about calling DH back to look but decided to set it down. Look again a couple of minutes later; no second line. Well, crap. Now that means that for the next 2 weeks (or whenever I get the itch to POAS again) I will be wondering "What if?" Then, in 2 weeks, I will take another test, think I might see a line and the whole process starts again. BUT, if I just had a period to show up at the end of every cycle, I wouldn't HAVE to worry about it. There would BE no "what if?" You see what I'm saying?

So in short, can you please send me some AF vibes? I THINK I can survive another month or two of this but I really think I just might lose it if we go another 5 months or more like this. It would make this all a lot more possible if my NEWBORN 7 month old would sleep more than 45 minutes - 2 hours at a time, so can you all make sure he gets on that? Thanks!

I can imagine how frustrating it must be to wait for your pp af. It isn't like there's a standard number of weeks it takes - it depends on your body and genetics and whether you're nursing and all kinds of things - and I've heard of ladies getting af again as soon as 6 weeks and others somewhere in the 18-24 month range.

I hope she comes back soon so you can stop obsessing. Sending you lots of af vibes! (That's one I haven't said before. )

I am that person who got AF 6 weeks PP even though I was EBF'ing around the clock

But I was two days late this past cycle and freaking the heck out! I am just hoping it stays on track this cycle so I don't freak out and then can get my baby making on

I remember how weird it felt not getting my period PP. Enjoyed it in a way but it was scary too. Sending you lots of AF dust so you can feel better! In the meantime what kind of BC are you using?

Are you guys using any form of protection? If not, would doing so make you less antsy about waiting on PPAF?
Either way, I'm sorry it's driving you batty. I have the witch shows her face for you soon

Yep, we're BFing. I EBF'd DD until 6 months and even when we started solids, she would comfort nurse ALL DAY LONG, everyday until about 9-10 months. My AF didn't come back until I weaned her down to nursing twice a day at 12 months.

I thought (and hope it does!) it would come back sooner with DS because he uses a pacifier, is eating 3 meals a day and only nurses for 2-3 minutes at a time, 5-8 times per day but then, he is up almost ALL night nursing, so I guess that could be why.

We're not using anything right now. I check my CM/CP daily and as soon as DS STTN or I can get in contact with the Billings Ovulation Method instructor that is local, we will do that.

I would love to say that it would make me chill the heck out if we used condoms/pills/IUD but nope, it wouldn't. I've ALWAYS been one who worries about pregnancy like, all the time. Even at 16, I took a pregnancy test probably once every 3-4 months, even when taking the pill and using condoms.
