Hi! Here's the deal. I sold all of our baby stuff this summer because I thought I was done. DH wasn't too keen on the idea, but I knew we were done. Well, that was until recently. The fever has hit me hard. However, we are not in a good spot right now financially and with the other kids' schooling.

Financially: I provide half of our income. DH and I are both teachers. We can't really afford for me to take off up to 6 months. Daycares around here don't take kids until they're 6 months old.

Schooling: ODS goes to the school where I teach, which is not where we live and not where DH teaches. It's 45 minutes from where we live. DD is going into kindy next year. We had planned on her going to the same school where I teach and ODS goes. The main reason is because my school offers full day kindy, and we wouldn't have to worry about childcare for her.

I am starting my Master's (a 20 month program) in April. It would mean I would have more job possibilities, not necessarily teaching.

DH says maybe would should just wait a couple of years until all the kids are in school. YDS will be in kindy in 2014.

What do you think? Should I just put it out of mind?

If I were you, I'd just wait and see. Sounds like you know that now isn't a good time, but that doesn't mean you can't rethink and see how you feel when the timing is better.

Thanks, ladies! I just keep going back and forth in my mind with "I think we're done" and "I want another one...NOW!" LOL I think it's all these FB friends and celebs I follow that are giving me the fever.

I hope things become clearer for you soon. I know the feeling of being done then suddenly NOT...and the consequences that has on you emotionally. Welcome to the WTTC board though!

I would sit on it for awhile. Only you and your dh know what's best for your family size, but if another baby is outside of the realm of what you had planned, I think it warrants a lot of talking and decision making together. You never know - the feeling may pass, too. On the other hand, it may not, and you may end up bringing another little one to your family.
