I met dh online (in an online game). I first started playing said game because of an ex-boyfriend and we both played with some of our friends, but in 2008 our friends stopped playing and my ex and I broke up. I was also working a lot (60 hours a week or so at one point) and focused on other things, so I cancelled my subscription.
Over Christmas of that year, I was living with my ex again (long story - bad situation) and he still kept his account and had purchased the newest expansion pack. One day, he was at work and it was my day off. I started playing on his account and decided I wanted to get back into it. In early 2009, my ex and I decided to give our relationship another try. It was his idea to join the guild (group of players who regularly play together, for the non-gamers) that we ended up in together, too, and that's how I met dh.
Later that year, after we had inevitably broken up again, the early beginnings of dh and I's relationship had started to take place. The craziest thing either of us has ever done, but I am so glad that I decided to play that game again.
