do you get them over there? i'm so fed up of treating mine and the kids hair for them for the last 3 months we have treated got rid of them then they have them back off someone else.
i have told both school and nicole school said until they get a report of another case they won't send letter home but people are either just not reporting it and just treating them or not treating them cause we keep getting them back. zac school said they put a note up and haven't. i'm treating them again tonight and if they get them back again i'm gonna be moaning to both school thats its not good enough this stuff is £13 a bottle its not cheap.

Anna got headlice at a birthday party where the girls all did each others hair. It was a NIGHTMARE! I was thiiiiiiis close to shaving her head. I dug through her hair twice a day every day for months. We spent hundreds of dollars on creams, shampoos, chemicals for the beds, the caprets, the couches, the toys, chemicals, chemicals, chemicals!!!! I thought I was going to go insane. I hated putting all those chemicals on her (the lice here have become resistant to the medications). Finally one night as I was treating the couches....AGAIN...my hubby was on the computer looking for alternative ways to rid the lice. He found this thing called a Robi comb. It is an electric comb that zaps (with a jolt of electiricity) the lice and pulls the eggs out a the same time. After THREE months of treating her twice a day and getting nowhere we used this comb one time and all the lice and eggs were gone...in one treatment! And it does it without needing to part and separate the hair. You just comb through their hair and it works! We continued to use it twice a day every day for 10 days but never found anything else in her hair. It litterally worked the first time we used it. I know I sound like a commercial but it truly saved our sanity,,it was the best thing ever in the history of the world. We still have it.....just in case we would ever need it again! I'm not sure if they are available in the UK but it is certainly worth looking in to! robicom.com is their website here..but I picked it up at the local pharmacy. They have an all natural chemical free lice repellant as well. I wish you luck with that...it is soooo frustrating!

We learned years ago yo put tea tree oil in the boy's shampoo and they never got lice. One time last year we forgot and BOOM lice! I don't know if it's just a coincidence or not but I won't forget again!

A friend of mine used olive oil to kill hers. Doused her hair with oil, then put on a bathing cap (a fitted one) and suffocated them. Took them a while to comb out her hair.. and thankfully they had hardwood floors... but after a few days it was all gone.
