For those who are TTC soon (in next 6 months or so), what are you doing to prepare?
I'm a little bit of a control freak on some things so I am making a list of all the things I need to be getting and doing before May. Here's my list:
Need to get:
-Charting app (done)
-More P/G tests
-Red Raspberry leaf tea
-better thermometer
Need to do:
-Take vitamins
-Do kegels
-Do yoga
-See dentist
-Appt with Ob/Gyn
-Chart
Am I missing anything? Any suggestions?

I'm eating better and charting already since that's what I use for birth control.
I need to find a birthing center that will let me VBAC, start my prenatals, start drinking red raspberry leaf tea and exercise more.

Diana, have you had any luck with finding a birth centre? I know lots of them dont do VBACs, im not sure why. I dont know how comfortable you are with a HBAC but i think youd have better luck finding a midwife that does HBACs

A lot of them don't do VBACs because of the staffing guidelines they are supposed to meet as far as who is available in case there is a need for an emergency c-section. I really would prefer a home birth but my DH is not comfortable with that after my c-section. He got all freaked out by seeing my intestines on the table. Go figure. Haha! I have found one birth center that's not as close as I would like as far as convenience of going to appointments, but they do VBACs and have doctors on staff as well as midwives, so I'm probably going to call them in the next couple weeks and set up an appointment. It's past time for my yearly exam anyway so I figure I will just get that done there since they do that as well and I can check them out then.

lol. Yeah, I'll keep bugging him and see what happens. I need to look and see what his insurance covers too as that will play a part in it.

When I'm ttc my OB gave me a supplements to take in. These are metformin, folic acid, vitamin E and clomid. This really helps a lot. And now I am bearing my first baby boy which come out anytime today. I'm on my 38 weeks now

Planning, planning...gotta love it:
Started back up at the gym this week - already feeling way better about myself... eating is 100% better - cut out all the junk and am down to proteins, veggies, fruit only. Nuts/fruit for snacks.
Decided to order HPTs online (Wondro)...and heck, I'm even down for some OPKs too...never used them, kinda curious and what a freakin' deal on Amazon. I told Josh about it last night VS prices at walmart and he was like "cha-ching" and all for it!!! lol
Need to buy Prenatals...thinking of also taking extra folic acid pills. I have to admit being older (will be 32 when conception occurs) is kinda freakin' me out and I just want to do as much preventive stuff as possible for healthy fetal development.
Buy RRL tea...since I've had a previous C/S - I want to tone up my uterus and make it healthy. Considering Peppermint tea cause I want a girl ;-)
Decide on insurance - this is a major player. I won't back down on VBAC so I really need to do my research and homework on this. Regardless of paying out of pocket for a midwife, I have a feeling I will still need an OB to work in conjunction with. There are no birth centers on the island. Sigh. I would be open to HBAC but that's another research topic too. Double sigh. I hate having to fight for what is MY right to choose what's best for ME and MY baby/family!

I'm taking prenatals. That's pretty much it since I exercise and eat healthy daily already. But I do need to loft two beds before I TTC (beds for my 2 boys).

I'm not really a huge planner but I've been taking prenatals and trying to get up on the healthier lifestyle. I do plan on picking up RRF tea sometime this week.
