Omg, I've missed you girls...what a month

I'm exhausted...our household has been sick ALL freakin' month and I'm barely squeaking by...Vaughn started with an ear infection, which turned into a cold and THEN triggered a crazy asthma episode...which he doesn't have medically/chronically. Along the way I picked up his cold, THEN Josh got sick with the stomach virus and I spent two days and nights dealing with yuckies that we all KNOW come along with that...then Vaughn got it mildly this week and I have been showing mild symptoms yesterday and today PLEASE PLEASE SEND HEALTHY VIBES OUR WAY!! I'm not sure when I last slept all the way through the night

I have started doing the planning for our wedding and am having so much fun...it has been my lil private retreat from all the sick yuckies...and i went to a wedding expo too and got to know a lot of different vendors I hadn't run across yet. We are keeping it very simple, small and intimate - so there aren't too many HUGE details outside of contracting an officiate, location, and some permits for the beach. The rest like flowers and cakes we have some hook ups so that's taken care of. And our reception we are having at local beach side open restaurant. We know the owner and while its not fine dining, its our place and we know we'll have a great time with our guests...which is only about a 4-6 headcount.

BUT what I'm so excited about is our officiate...I'm waiting on a contract to review and officially sign and return to book our date...but Josh and I are doing a traditional Hawaiian ceremony and our officiate is the great great grandson of the last queen of Hawaii - Ka'hahumanu. His ceremony wording is exactly what I always envisioned and heard in my head and the symbolism he uses feel so elemental and ancient and like we'll have centuries of good juju and blessings with us!

Next...my dress...oh boy...Its run through my head that I could be PG then and at first I was a lil grumpy but then I realized that its all good and I'd be so happy I wouldn't care anyways. Plus i would have some time after baby #2 before the big family wedding and that's the one Im going to have to REALLY KICK MY BUTT into gear!!

Phew!! Sorry for the novel, I just feel like I haven't talked to you girls in SO long!!!!!

So sorry everyone's been sick, hopefully you'll get to feeling better soon - maybe take some Vit. C that always helps me!

Your wedding already sounds lovely!

I hope you and your boys feel better very soon. That's no fun!

But I'm so excited to hear about your wedding planning. I bet it's going to be beautiful and sounds to intimate and special I cannot wait to see pictures of the dresses you try on As far as possibly getting pregnant, since you're having a beach wedding you always have the option to get one of those dresses with a fitted bust and that's a drapy, flowing bottom. It'd be great for a growing belly and it totally beach appropriate.

Thanks girls!!

Megan - Totally!! At first I was kinda against the Grecian style/empire waist look cause if I'm not careful I can end up looking like a marshmellow. But when its cut just right its definitely a good look on me. AND DEF if I'm PG...I just started looking the other day and saw some really nice beachy "etheral" looking dresses. I originally wanted a fitted dress through the waist/hips that flowed out subtly in chiffon waves/ruffles/layers. So we'll see what direction I end up going...I guess I'll know within a couple months! LOL! Look out for dress posts soon! ;-)

You'll know it when you try it on. I can't wait to help you decide if you need it though
