we will have a homebirth, so no real plan other than not going to the hospital and lots of time in the birth pool

Homebirth, hopefully waterbirth this time, and both boys get to watch. I'd also like some more pictures too.

Birth center birth.
Minimal intervention no matter how much pain I am in.
I want to be able to eat and drink while I labor.
Absolutely NO IV. If I am GBS+ they can give me the meds, but then the IV must be removed until the next dose. I don't care how many times they have to poke me, I do not want an IV in my hand when I'm squeezing a human out of my vagina. I can bust an IV out with a sneeze, I'll rip my hands up if I have to push with one in.
I want to be able to labor in the tub as much as possible, even if I spend 2 days in it.
If I want a room full of people, I want to be allowed that (this center will allow up to 10 they told me, no more cause the rooms aren't that big lol). I doubt it would be anyone other than DH, my friend Carrie, his ex and I there. L's offered to take my friends little girl for me, and will bring Reme to the birth center as soon as I've been cleaned up.
I would like the baby checked with the doppler every once in a while for my own reassurance.
baby goes from in me, to my chest immediately.
I want baby to be allowed to initiate breastfeeding (unless there are complications of course).
I want to cut the cord. I know that sounds funny, but DH wants nothing to do with it, so unless there is another family member present who wants to do it, I want the opportunity. (or at least be asked if I want to do it)
There are a few things I am not sure on.
Vaccinations: we are not sure if we are vaccinating, or on what schedule. We'll cross that bridge after a bfp
Bathing the baby: I've heard something that it's best not to bathe the baby right away. Downfall to that is, I'd have to do first bath with out anyone to help.. I've never bathed a newborn.
Cord Clamping: If the birth center/hospital (across street) participate in the cord blood donation program I would like to donate. Not for personal use, but to the public bank.
Placenta Encapsulation: If I can find someone in the area who will do this for me, it is something I am 100% ready to pay to have done. I already suffer from manic depression (borderline bipolar disorder) anything to starve off PPD I'm willing to do.
I will allow any necessary bloodwork to be performed. I know there is a mandatory genetic screen that is performed 24hrs after birth, the midwives will come to our home and do it. But blood sugar testing and billi levels would also be ok with me.
wow I'm long winded... and I'm sure there's more.

I haven't really thought too much about this. I will be considered high-risk, so I'll definitely be giving birth in a hospital, which we've picked out (it's the one I've been in several times before for various reasons, so I'm comfortable with them, but they're also a Level I trauma center with a highly regarded NICU, if that becomes necessary. Plus all my doctors have privileges there.)
I kind of can't decide about epidural. I've been through some pretty excruciating pain in my life, and when talking to other women who've gone through both similar stuff and child birth, they say child birth is much easier, hands down. But I also don't really relish the idea of MORE pain if it can be avoided - although I'm also not really comfortable with the idea of a needle in my spine. I'll figure that out later.
My friend brought in a bunch of music on her cell phone, which I think I'll likely do. Music helps me do anything.
I'm sure I'll figure out more as we actually start TTCing, haha.

I won't even make one because I know I wont even stick to it. What I want my perfect birth experience to be and what I can handle are way off. The only change this time is I would like to go to this local birth center instead of the hospital and since it would be a 3rd child and labor likely faster than I am hoping to be able to do it without pain meds.

I love reading birth plans and seeing how different everyone is!
I will deliver in a hospital and I want an epidural when I ask for it, which will most likely be sooner rather than later cuz I hate pain! I hope it all goes like last time. Once I got the epi I was able to sit and visit and laugh and enjoy myself and felt absolutely no pain even through the pushing.

I'm going to try without an epi, but if I want one I'm going to have one. I'm not going to push myself to have a natural birth, because the point of this labor is not how it happens, it's having a baby- so I'm not concerned about it. Not sure if that is clear. LOL
Other than that, I will do more research when I am actually TTC.

Mostly standard stuff.
At the Family Birthing Center. (Better be clarify this, here our Birthing Center is what they call it but is just the addition on the hospital that is nothing but Labor, Delivery & Nursery, & 2 OR's. You labor, deliver & recover in the same room. But its a hospital still)
I want a vaginal delivery but whatever is going to be best for me & baby is what I want. If that means I need to be induced or a C-Section so-be it.
I dont want to go way over my due date. I can live with a few days more than that, I'll be scared how big baby with a daddy that was born the size of a 2 month old.
I want an epidural assuming I'm not one of those that goes from 0-10 & pushing too quickly. But then again, if labor is gonna go real fast I wouldnt mind either.
I will listen to my Dr's suggestions and listen to her recommendations once her, DH & I talk them over, I trust her 110%
When it comes time for pushing only DH in the room and the minimum number of staff.
I want baby placed on me, but that isnt a huge thing I just want to see & touch him/her right away. But if its that or baby getting needed medical attention, baby's health comes first.
Want DH to cut the cord.
At the Birthing Center baby stays in room at all times unless there is a problem anyways so thats not an issue.
I would rather BF than formula be given but again not dead set, its a cross that bridge when we get there.
Other than that go with the flow and do what ever is gonna float my boat at the time

This is something I've been thinking a lot about in the last 6 months. I had an emergency c-section with DS and my labor, birth and recovery was everything I didn't want. It was a horrible experience besides getting DS out of it TBH.
I'd really love VBAC and homebirth with a midwife next time, but after looking into it, it will depend on finances as I confirmed yesterday that our insurance won't pay anything for my prenatal appointments or birth if we go that route. I will at least have a midwife deliver me in the hospital if nothing else. I'm really searching hard for a midwife in our area, but it's not been easy.
I'm absolutely not apposed to an epidural, but I don't want it pushed on me until I *need* it pain-wise. Other than that, I don't want any interventions, tho. No IVs, no pitocin, no catheter, none of that crap I was made to do the second my feet hit the hospital floor last time!

does your insurance cover a birth center? Or do you not have those around you?

Ashley- Unfortunately there's not a birth center in my area, which I was surprised by since we live in the suburbs of a very big city. But my insurance won't even cover any services provided by a midwife unless all services are filed by a Dr who oversees my care. This makes it even more difficult to find a midwife to have insurance cover it bc now not only do I need one I'm comftorable with and will give me a unintervened VBAC, bit also who practiced under a MD in the same group.

I am going to go into labor at home and stay home as long as possible. Then go to the hospital and not get an epidural this time!
