Taking prenatals, losing weight, and had my preconception visit to discuss my health. This summer we'll start socking away some extra savings as well.

I'm losing some weight (just got back down to my ore-pregnancy weight this week!) and taking a multi-vitamin if I remember.

Working out and eating better to get more healthy and losing weight. I have been off BCP for several months back and charting to better understand my cycles. And I've been trying to take my prenatal vitamin each day but I almost always forget!

Me too, lol. But I have prescription drugs I have to take every morning and night, so I already have the routine and just dump the vitamins in with the morning pills. I keep the morning pill bottles right by where I prepare breakfast, so I see them and put all the pills on my plate, then take them when I'm done eating. The nighttime ones are on my nightstand.

Speaking of weight loss, I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions. I don't do fad/quick-loss diets, and all of my weight gain is medically related (I gained about 80lbs from steroids + illness after being dx'ed with Crohn's, and I've lost about half.) I really want to lose at least 10 more pounds before TTCing, but I have been fighting these next 7lbs since January. I eat about 1600 calories a day, weighted heavily toward protein and fiber, and I exercise (running, weight lifting, dancing, general aerobics) for an hour 4 days a week. I'm really frustrated! I'm not losing inches either, it's just like my body is stuck at this weight, and now I'm wondering if it's being influenced by my medications. =/ Any ideas?

cheat on your diet. Your body and your waist line will thank you for it (the Chrones may not).
Sometimes your body needs a kick in the pants to get back on track. For a lot of women, a cheat day is what does it.

I'll try and find the article I've read about it for you.

Weight Loss Plateau - How to Deal with a Weight Loss Plateau

this isn't the one I read before, but it has the data in it too.

Thanks! I do cheat - usually one day on the weekend - and I don't diet per se, as much as just trying to eat healthy and a reasonable amount, which I measure by calories. But possibly I'm not cheating enough - my cheat days are only around 1800-1900 calories, which is still pretty far below my daily calorie intake level to maintain weight.

It's also possible I'm still adding muscle mass. Due to my illness last year, I had a lot of muscle atrophy, but I've been weight lifting at least once a week for about 2.5 months, so there could be that too. I definitely feel stronger.

I also made an appointment with a dietitian for 4/30 - I am just extremely frustrated because I'm supposedly doing everything "right", and I'm not at a healthy weight, but "lose weight" is what all the doctors keep telling me (for TTCing and otherwise.) I just feel like there's so much conflicting information, and I really think my medications complicate the whole process, so I feel like just tearing my out. In that regard, this article was pretty hysterical to me: The World's First 100% Foolproof Guide to Losing Weight and Keeping It Off

Sorry to kind of threadjack and vent, I just am so frustrated with the lack of progress! I lost 17lbs between October and December, and then NOTHING since January.

I'm trying to get the baby weight off and then some. Other than that I'm going to keep taking my prenatal and saving All of dd's baby stuff as she outgrows it.
