My dh applies for jobs and gets interviewed, but doesn't get hired. He really needs a job and there are just so many unemployed people here in Rock County, WI and very little jobs that it is hard to even find a place for him to apply. But God c taan't you let him get a job? We are on our last $ and it will run out soon!

I've even applied at places and have gotten no calls. Which I'd rather stay at home and have my dh work any way until after our next baby is in school. I love being a SAHM!

The other thing is that I was hoping the Lab Rescue would call me as I was hoping it meant the start of good fortune for us, but nope they haven't. Oh well, as we would need to wait to adopt a dog once my dh is working any how.

But it's so frustrating seeing my dh's list of jobs he's applied at get longer and longer and nothing is coming of it! I want him to be working! Yes, I love him being home as he cleans most if not all the house for me when I run the kids to school or run errands. But he's bored and hurting that he cannot provide for his family.

Oh and get this. WI has the highest or nearly highest unemployment rate according to the US workforce and statistics something like that and WI has stopped the extended unemployment benefits as of April 7th so he hasn't gotten a check since March 26th. Even though his payment was only $234 it still helped. I'd like to see those bureaucrats that did that see how much people depend on that by having to live like us too!

*UPDATEd May 20th*

Well, tomorrow my dh should know if he has a job. I hope they call him right away in the morning and he can start that afternoon as the shift would be from 2pm until 10:30pm.

Today, a woman from the lab rescue came here and the kids had a great time playing with her dog, Mr. Ed. I told her that all of my kids do very well with my neighbors dogs and my BIL's dog and they were. We should have a dog by mid- June. From what she had said to me it seems like she will be placing her foster dog, Buck, with us, but she wants to make sure some of his behaviors are better that he had when he was placed with her.

I feel for you! We were in the same boat not long ago. DH applied everywhere. Interviewed at at least 10 places and didn't hear anything. It is very, very frustrating.

That is when he decided to go to school. So now, he works part time and goes to school. We are seriously broke.

I hope your DH finds something soon so that you can continue to be a SAHM!

UPDATE

My dh hasn't got a job yet, but I got an email yesterday that I didn't see until this evening from the lab rescue. They are coming and bringing a dog to play with on Sunday. To see how the kids are with it and to make sure our house is safe for a dog and that we can have dogs.

So now that this is coming together maybe my dh will be working next week! One can hope!

Yes I'm hoping! I have been gone this afternoon to see Dark Shadows with my neighbor and then we went to the dog park and when I got home my dh told me he has a job interview at 2pm tomorrow. FX

I hope he gets it.

My FIL just took a job driving a fork lift because he was laid off and had no where else to turn. It's tough out there.

I hear you about jobs in Wi, they also pay a lot less than elsewhere... DH can earn in In or Oh working 5m what we can working 12m in Wi! We live in Outagamie Co, and it's pretty much all factories. He's going to see what's available for wind turbine jobs though and consider getting that training next year.

Good luck to your hubby!
