If you have a list of things you want to wait for or accomplish before TTC what's on it!?

Here's mine:

Pay off what we owe my parents (which is almost done!)
Purchase a van
Finish our spare room and get the kids moved into their new rooms
Find homes for the rest of my guinea pigs
work 600 hours so I qualify for Mat leave again.
For DS to be 2

that's all I can think of at the moment!

I've got a bit of a list, too, unfortunately.

-Find a new place to live (we want the country, not the city).
-DH gets a job there so I can quit working.
-Insurance for both of us and DS.

That's about it, really...but it's rough because finding a new place is hellish right now, and we're currently in the saving up process. Once we get there, hopefully DH can find a job fast so that we can get on with the TTC. I'm going on 32 and I really feel like time's running out... *sigh*

* save up the money to do a reversal (this one will take forever, when we get close some emergency pops up and we need the money for it lol)

* Im having surgery, so Id like to have been post op for a while, but it might take a bit longer to get into my surgery as I have anemia and thyroid issues which we are trying to get under control

* there's not really anything else holding us back. our families don't approve of big families, but Im not willing to let that stop us from having what we want. if dh hadnt gotten snipped, Id already have had another baby on the way or have a newborn as I was ready to ttc by 6 week check up . haha

Here's mine:

Pay down alot of our debt and become more stable...maybe actually have more money in our checking account than like $400...lol
Try to convince DH to sell his 3rd vehicle which he doesn't need. Who needs 3 vehicles?
Put a new bay window in our living room to conserve heat.
Would have to buy a laptop and sell my desktop cause my office will turn into a nusery
Trying to also save money cause I don't get paid maternity leave.....so I am looking to have $2000 by the summer of 2014
For DS to be ready to go to preschool by the time the newborn would be going to daycare

Yea i don't think 3/4 of this will happen lol

Have yard fenced

Save at least $5,000 for when we do end up pregnant.

All in All we think at Next September we will try and conceive.

LOL! I thought I was the only one, not sure why...

My list is as follows:

-DF finish school (only 2 more classes)
-Pay off credit
-Find a house or condo with a yard

All in all we are thinking of trying next August (2013) but we shall see if everything goes according to plan!

get our cc, family debt, and truck loan paid off
sell our camper
Save up to move our stuff out of storage
Move into a different house
Get hubby back into his railroad career, he was laid off last march and has just had "jobs" since, not his *career*
my kids would need to be several years old (4, 5?), as I got hyperemesis both times I was pregnant and it was HARD. I got lucky the second time that I could still take care of my son while pregnant with my daughter, but just barely. Taking care of a 1 year old and infant would NOT be doable with hyperemesis, if I were to get it again.

All I am working on right now is trying to get back in shape and change my diet to a healthier one before December. We are also trying to pay down debt and have a few projects around the house to do, but none of those are going to stop us from TTC in December

- Get back into pre-baby shape...ugh!
- Pay off our credit cards
- Sell our NJ house
- Buy our dream house in SC

Pretty major things, hence why I'm here! Glad I'm not the only one with a list!

Well I used to have a really long list which was:
-Lose 50 lbs
-have $10,000 in the bank, $5000 for fertility treatments and $5000 for baby gear/clothes
-have after school program full and have 50 tkd students

BUT now my list is:
-attend fertility doc appt in 3 days and go from there!

No more waiting for me, there will always be something that comes up and it will never be the right time so I am just taking the plunge.

For us, we want to have our debt paid off which we have a little ways to go yet, but not too bad. We also want to buy a house and a new vehicle...one bigger than what my husband has now, which is a 2 door Nissan. Our original agreement was to wait at least 5 years as well. However, we talked tonight and decided that 4 years is close enough if we time it to where Athena is 5 when the baby gets here. lol. That was my suggestion.

So basically we're going to TTC no sooner than January 2017 because I do want to give it a couple extra months so that I don't risk my due date being so close to Athena's birthday. I just don't like the idea of possibly worrying about the money thing when it comes to presents, although by that time, we will be in a much better financial situation than we are right now anyway. I won't start TTC if we aren't.

Ohh, and I can't forget...I REALLY need to lose the baby weight before I start TTC #2. I'm on my way...it's quite a journey already, but I have 35 lbs to lose.

Ideally, DH would get a job where we could afford me not to work or to be able to work part time. This is tricky. We haven't decided when we are going to leave Ohio yet.. could be this summer or it could be next summer.

I was thinking I'd like to run a half marathon before baby... but I keep swaying on that. I mostly just want the sticker!

Well we a few things on the list as well...

-Lose 25 lbs (each of us)
-Pay off my car and all CC debt (18 month plan)before baby is born (so we could technically start trying in 9 months)
-Either finish our basement and fix up our house or find a new one closer to my job (I currently commute 1 hr each way, but I LOVE it)
-organize our things. We just got married so our house needs a deep clean and we need to get rid of doubles, etc.

It's hard right now, because even though I know having all of these things in order will make it A LOT nicer when we have a child I am really feeling ready to give it a go.
