I don't know when to get my IUD removed for ttc in late february.

We have been waiting to ttc until my short term disability kicks in at work which I signed up for a year ago I can get pregnant any time after january 1st and be able to use it. we are going on vacation february 9th-24th and don't know when exactly to get my IUD removed.

I currently don't get my period with the IUD which makes me think maybe I should keep it in until after my vacation, for obvious reasons. and get it out the day after we get back and then I have heard that you should wait a month or so.

or if i should get it out earlier, like november or december and be able to start trying earlier, but run the risk of having my period on vacation.

what would you ladies do? I realize that this isn't a big deal either way, but I can't decide what to do.

how long do I need to wait after IUD gets removed to start trying?

From what I understand you can get started trying right away when you get the IUD removed. But most people usually want to wait a month or two to get an idea of their cycle so they can know the exact dates they got pregnant or better date the pregnancy.

I also have an IUD and will be TTC in February. I am thinking about getting mine out in the next couple of weeks so that I have a few months to get my cycle back to normal.
