Well, my maternity leave will finish end of June 2013 and then I have two months paid vacation before I return to work full time. By then Finn will be one year and one month old.
I called human resources at my work yesterday to find out if I can change my leave. I have the option to take another two years off not paid (cannot do) or part time before returning full time.
I called the QPIP (the government office that pays maternity) and asked what would happen if I got pregnant if I would be working part time on this current maternity. They told me my benefits would go down. The agent then asked me why I would do that. She said if I got pregnant in 2013, I would still get paid and I would get another year maternity paid without having to return to work with my job guarantee. After my second maternity, I could take the additional two years part time and basically raise my children instead if work for that time. I would love to do this.
I need your help! How do I get my DP to be on board with this? He does want more children but not sure anymore if he wants to try again so soon.

I would just tell him how you feel and why it would be beneficial to try next year. Sometimes when I make a good plan and talk to my DH about all the details he seems more open to things.

Lol! In between Victoria and Hayden I went back to work 17 weeks pregnant for a short period of time... They told me I had to work 2000$ worth really to get my full benefits... I stayed till 30 weeks since I was due to pay my license for the year and it wasn't worth it since I'll be on mat leave for most of that year...
Or u get preggo before baby is 6 months old.

But that's great hubby is on board! Get off the pill woman and start reading 50 shades hehehehe

I know here I had to work 600 hours before making another claim but if that is how the benefits work there then I don't see why you shouldn't just go for it! I went back part time between my kids and am working part time now. That was what I thought was best for us. However your DH sounds on board so perhaps you should just go ahead with the babymaking
