Well, if I'm understanding my body's cues properly, I ovulated only about a week before my period started. This is only my second AF since baby came and I'm still breastfeeding so I hope it's something that will change, because as I understand it, you need 10 days between ovulation and starting your period to actually stay pregnant if an egg is fertilized, no? I dunno, though, because my last pregnancy was a late ovulation too, and I'm sure there wouldn't have been 10 days between ovulation and my period most cycles.

I am not too sure. I always thought you needed a certain amount of days inbetween ovulation and AF being due. I always ovulate on the later side too. Had no issues getting pregnant with my daughter and took 15 months for my son.

I've heard that you need around 10 days as well...and when I was charting before we were TTC, I was worried because I had many cycles that didn't give me 10 days between the two.

I got pregnant easy peasy and stayed pregnant.. I think some of us just don't fit the textbook description of how things are supossed to work!

I'm just going to hope that everything works as easily the second time as it did the first!
