You see, I have been driving a 2-door Honda Civic. He has a nice Tacoma for work purposes.
While I was pregnant with DD, we talked about a new, more practical car, but it just didnt happen. After she was born, we talked again, but here we are 14 months later and I have still been driving around a 2-door car, struggling to get her in and out of the back, etc.
Add on top of that, we live on a hill and when it snows here, it's a crapshoot as to whether or not my car will make it up the driveway without getting stuck. Last week I couldnt drive home because it was so snowy.
Last night was the straw that broke the camels back. While snowblowing the driveway, DH parked my car across the road at the neighbours place. When he tried to move the car afterwards, it slipped and slid and went right into the neighbors mailbox, plowing it down and ripping off my side mirror.
DH was so frustrated and tired of fighting with the car that he went out today and bought me a 2002 Honda CRV!!! You don't know how excited I was when he called me and told me I'm pretty patient and didn't complain too much about my car (I work with what I have), so having the CRV is like GOLD to me. I am SOSOSO happy. It's probably not a big deal to most people, as it's an older vehicle, but to me, it's my chariot!
I just had to sing my DH's praises for a moment. I'm so freaking happy!
