Haha ooooh my...the ol' newborn stage. Pax ate 24.7, not stop, for two solid weeks. I had to wean him because I was delirious from exhaustion (and he was so hungry!) - he was so teeny when he was born, I think he really wanted to make up for lost time to get to the 99% where he is now LOL!
So, the first two weeks were great, but exhausting and painful from the C Section, then the next two weeks baby blues hit me so, so hard and I knew there was something wrong with him but no one would listen to me. At the end of the 4th week I insisted to the doctor that he had reflux based on his symptoms and I swear, they said, "oh! yeah, he probably does!" OMG. So, around 5 weeks is when my little boy started sleeping more than 20 minutes a day and was keeping his food down, and staying fuller Oh, and I discovered a sleep sack WITH VELCRO for the amazing escape artist he is - that helped so much, too. Now that I know all this, I can't wait to really experience the NB stage again
There are so many of my friends and family who complained about how hard it was in the newborn stage (which it is sometimes!), but I LOVE that stage in their lives. I think its innocence in the most pure form. So sweet and snuggly!
