I used to be part of this board long ago, and even co-hosted it with Urchin. I'm so excited that DH told me he didn't want to have another, but after talking with him more yesterday he is more in agreement to have one more. We will be actively swaying for a girl versus getting pregnant and just hoping to have a girl. If we don't have a girl, then I told him I'm done. I'm ready to put this part of my life behind me and not have anymore babies.

A little about me, I have three older girls and two boys. The boys are with my current DH. my youngest son is 9 mo and has had a lot of feeding issues with food allergies passed through breast milk, GERD, tongue tie, etc. He was diagnosed with failure to thrive and now has an NG tube to supplement at night since he refuses to give up nursing and wont take a bottle of formula for anything but is now starting to do much better.

I'm hoping to start TTC next mo or the mo after, but I suppose we will see. DH wants to wait longer, but I really want to put this part of my life behind me and don't want to have any babies at 35 or older. Plus right now cause of DS2s feeding restrictions (I can't eat hardly anything since the proteins pass through breast milk), I am actually a good sway for a girl. I know once we wean, I will start binging on pizza, pasta, desert, and all everything I can get my hands on, lol.

Back! I remember you from before! Glad your 9 month old is doing better! Did they clip his tongue tie? No one would clip my son and that caused issues with latching and my getting an infected, open and sore nipple. It looks a lot better now that his tongue grew, but it was really bad when he was a newborn. His skin was attached at the tip back then.

I would love to have a girl as I have 5 boys, but my dh recently told me he is definitely done and is getting a vasectomy. I told him to do it as soon as possible so I can heal and move on because knowing I will never have my princess is very hard on me! But GL to you!

I'm sorry to hear you are done, done. DH told me that too, but we talked about it some more and we will hopefully be trying ONE LAST TIME. I'm hoping to ttc again soon, or we will be maybe trying late next winter? We have to talk some more.

Yes, they cut his tie at 5 days old cause it was interfering with him gaining weight. The ENT didn't want to and didn't think it would work, but it did the trick! It was a submucousal (?) tie, so not your normal tie. The ENT thought he was too old at 5 days to have it done and that he might have needed to have surgery for it under general anesthesia, but he didn't. I was soooo glad they cut it! I sent thank you letters and a birth announcement to the ENT so he wouldn't doubt the effectiveness of it and would be more willing to do it for other babies.

Welcome

Yay for your DH changing his mind! Glad to hear your DS is doing well after a rocky start. I hope you're successful with your swaying this time around!
