I buy most of my DD's clothes at a thrift shop (the clothes are all like new, yay!) and if I see any cute gender neutral stuff while I'm there, I pick up one or two things to store away for the next baby.
Thank-you Bokkechick for the beautiful siggy!
Proud mama to Audrina (10-10-2011) & Bryden (09-19-2014)
We've bought some baby clothes so far, and I broke out my Baby Box which is all the newborn clothes I kept from the boys. Surprisingly, most of what was in it is pretty gender neutral. My favorite thing so far is this newborn onesie that is brown and gray stripes, SO CUTE.
We are also going to start buying big things once we've moved, but not much. We are going to get a mini crib, a couple wraps, a good diaper bag, and a nice carseat. DF is relieved that I am a veteran in the art of baby supplies (well, to him I am anyway!) so I don't feel tempted to buy a lot of "stuff". Plus I don't want a bouncy seat or anything because I am going to hold that baby as much as possible! And maybe DF can hold him/her too.
Ry, happily engaged to Zach.
Mom to Bodhi, Brigham, and Elliott.
I'm going to wait until we are pregnant to start buying things.
However, I did get one neutral newborn onesie that as the caption ''Future Captain'' with a cute yellow sailboat on it which is now hidden in my underware drawer in a bag lol! BF owns a sailboat and sailing is his passion. That is how I plan to tell BF when I get a positive pee stick, put the onesie on the bed with the positive peestick beside it and get him to go see it by saying something like ''go see what the dog did on the bed'' (she looses a lot of fur and he hates it if she lies down on his pillow and leaves a bunch of fur on it - which apparently is her favorite spot when we aren't there ahah). Can't wait to see if face!
Other than this item, I am resisting the temptation as I don't know how long TTC will take and I don't want to get my hopes up to high.

No. We have most everything we need. I bought a ton of stuff for Baby George new off amazon (it was like Chirstmas!! LOL) so we don't need anything else new except the infant car seat. That was left from Oliver and will be expired by the time we need it again. Again when we find out if its a boy/girl I'll start the shopping process again.
Interested in having a home birth? Planning a home birth? Want to join a secret FB group to chat with other HBers without everyone finding out? PM me.
I think maybe when we are closer to it, I might start collecting bits and pieces. I want a nursery this time so I want to design that and set it up perfectly We do have a crib but I will need a new infant carseat and stroller.
I saved up clothes for years for both genders. By the time I married and got pregnant I didn't even have to buy clothes for the first 2 years. It helped me get through that childless time period and still feel like I was doing something. Because it was so far in advance I was able to hit all the sales, clearance, and deals so I paid very little for it considering. I also got a bouncer that I saw and liked. Everything else I waited on.
