Hello everyone!

Thought it was about time I came out of the dark! I'm Tasha and my DBF and I are 25 years old. I'm fairly new to JM but have generally just posted on the General Spirituality board - I didn't even know this board was here!!

My partner and I been together for 3.5 years now, and he has always wanted kids. He wants to start TTC when he turns 26 (in October), but I've managed to convince him that we are not ready yet, as we are living in England (New Zealand is home) and don't own a house yet. He's not too happy, but understands we need to be a little more settled before we consider kids. So we are thinking more like this time next year, depending on if we own a house by then. Does anyone else have the problem of their partner wanting kids NOW but you want to wait a bit longer?! It's so sweet though - a lot of our friends, including DBF's cousin have just had kids and DBF is sooo cute with them. I thought the women were suppose to be the clucky ones!

So... count me in on the WTTC until Oct 2008 club! Looking forward to getting to know you!

Hello and welcome to the board!!! We both want kids, would have one every day of the week if I could lol!!! We are just waiting til just before our wedding next year, we already have a 3 year old son but really can't get pregnant now as really don't want to force a bump in my dress lol!!!!

Hi Tasha! You have definitely landed in the right place. There are so many girls here with baby fever, and also those whose SO's are the ones who have the baby fever... we're all waiting for some reason or another. Financial and home-buying reasons are very common here. As for me, I'm the "clucky" one in my relationship, LOL! My DH is starting to come around, though. We're aiming for March 2008 to TTC our first.

Wow! Thanks for all the quick replies and friendly welcomes! Don't you worry - I defiantly have baby fever too, but am the more 'practical' one in the relationship! LOL!! I'm sure the next 12 to 18 months will go quick enough though, we have so much other stuff planned in that time.

sorry I am a little late

I'm Rebekah engaged to Shane, we have been together 3.5 years also and are getting married september 24th of this year we were just TTC for a few months but I just recently started BCP again, we are waiting because life is a little stressful right now and DF wants to see his kids growup and be in their lives. ( he feels he works too much right now, but I told him he will always work that much ) other than that, we are pretty ready right now. And we are BOTH the clucky ones in the relationship !

Hello...Welcome! Im Amy DH and I have been married a little over a year now and are waiting till the begaining of the year to try for our first.....This Is a great place to wait.......DH wants to wait till his debt's paided off but thats 2 years from now. Ive broken him down to jan/feb....now hopefully It'll go by fast!!
