UGH!! It's soooo hot in here and it's not even daytime anymore here in TX. I put in a service request, but it being a holiday weekend, is going to take forever. We have a home warranty, so in order to make sure things get paid for through them, we have to go through them. So, it could be up to a week without our air conditioning, or more depending on whats making it smell like burning when it's running. Let me tell you, I'm not a happy camper. It's hot - really hot. It's currently 80 degrees in the house at 9 PM with ALL the ceiling fans (every room has a ceiling fan) going and the lights off. My poor animals are going to be miserable with us the entire time too because, just think, 80 degrees at night, what's it going to be like tomorrow during the day? It's not like we haven't spent enough freaking money trying to find out why I am running a fever of unknown origin. Now, in the heat of TX, our AC wants to smell like burning and not work right. Go figure. Send hurry up and fix 'em vibes to the AC people - it's hot in here and it's not Halloween so I don't want to scare people walking around naked!

It's miserable still and I turned on the industrial garage fan that we brought inside the house. I am TIRED but too miserable to sleep! Poor DH - he's out in the rainstorm and in full uniform and will be miserable from the rain, and humidity when he gets home after 7 in the morning and will want to sleep. Don't count on it - he's one of those that can't sleep in super heat. If you ever want to know what a sauna feels like - come on over! This freaking sucks!

I know how you feel. In Germany the only places that have AC are the American stores on base. None of our homes have it. It gets pretty hot here, the best thing I have found is lots of fans!!! But DH has to work out side in 120 or more daily in full combat gear and has no ac. He has a fan but the power dose not always work. And the government wants to know why we have so many less troops then before the war . But hang in there, I'm sending lots of hurry up and fix 'em vibes to the AC people!!

Sorry about the AC being out. I don't have AC in my home but even when it's extremely hot here the temperatures aren't like those I here about in TX and other places. I can only imagine how awful it must be. If you have a tub, fill it with water and sit in it. I know you can't do this all day but it may help a bit.

OMG, that sounds awful! I can't imagine no a/c and being so sick at the same time! The closest experience I've had is a big island-wide power outage last Oct. But at least it was only about 20 hours, though we were all sweating from no a/c or fans. I hope they can fix it soon and that the heat drops a bit!
