If this isn't your cycle, you should start charting!

Amyyyyy I have a Q for you --

You always say that AF is always late, right? Is she consistently say, 30 days rather than 28? Because 28 is just the textbook "perfect cycle" that plenty of women don't have... so maybe all this time you aren't "late" you just have cycles a bit longer than "textbook perfect" --?

I used to always have 28 day cycles and was like "yep, I ovulate on CD 14 just like every book says... blah blah, that's average, and I'm normal, darnit!" But I have a 12 day LP... so, I would actually be Oing on CD 16.

Recently though I haven't been Oing until CD 21 or so so my cycles are quite a bit longer than they had been before, and I'm glad I chart b/c every month I'd be tihnking I was pg or late, ya know?

Just curious -- are your cycles normally every 28 days?

My AF's have always been late...Ive always just based my cycle on 28 days. ( Even though I know thats rare ) Im planning on Charting this next cycle....even If Its just to see how long my cycles are....The thing with that there alwasy late by different times...anywhere from 3-10 days late. UGH!!! So my cycles are going to be different each time. Im thinking the only way Im gonna know If Im Oing Is by my CM and temping...Which I bought OPK's and a Thermomotor. (sp)Ive been kinda trying to temp since I got It and It's been in the low 97's. When do you think I should start charting?

If you are not pregnant start charting on the first day of your period or the first day after it ends.

Amy, I started charting despite not having an AF yet just to get used to it and to see what my body does post-IUD. I think you should just start charting but not really depend on it until you've charted at least a full cycle. GL and KUP!

When I first started I started post-O but before AF... I just wanted to get in the habbit of temping each morning... you should go ahead and start plugging you temps into FF if you've been recording them every morning anyway. You probably have the same day LP each month but may O later or earlier than usual b/c of stress or other reasons... so if you start charting you can figure out your LP, and then if you figure out when you O you'll know when to expect your AF and will have an idea if your AF is actually late, or if it's just due to late O.

Even though your temps have been in the low 97's, since you don't know what your typical temp is pre-O or post-O the range won't tell you much now, it's the overall picture as you plug all of your temps in that will clue you in to what your body is doing.

No harm in plugging your temps into a chart now, it only takes a second and will give you more to look at and interpert.

Your VIP account is probably about to expire. The basic account is free. I have the basic.

Right, the VIP trial is going to expire, and that has extra features, etc. that you would have to pay for. I too just have the regular free version. Last week they gave me another free 5 day trial of the VIP, which was interesting, but I don't think it's worth the $, esp. at this point since we're TTA.

I tihnk it'll be less overwhelming for you once the VIP trial is over because then there will be less to look at, lol. At least that's how I felt.

Basically just click on your calender (whether it's the "calender" tab at the top" or if you're in chart mode, the itty bitty calender above the graph... and click on the particular day, and a little box will pop up and you enter in your temp, the time, CM or menses if you have an answer for that... if you had sex, etc.

I think it's normal that cycles are different lengths each month. At least, it's "normal for me!!

Since I came off BCP in December, I kept a track of how long my cycles were:

29, 25, 25, 26, 27, 26, 31, 28, 24, 29

Before I charted, I was all like "Yeh I O on CD15"... nuh uh!! lol!
