Do you have any special I love you rituals or routines?
For us after a rough day I like to read "No David" and remind my son that Mommy's always always love their little boys no matter what. I know Billy likes the reassurance too, that no matter if he is naughty or nice, Mommy always loves him.
We also have a silly saying at night that he started "I love you two hands" with hands stretched out wide, and then add other bits to it such as "I love you all the way to the moon and back" From Guess How Much I Love You or anything else like I Love You more then there is water in the ocean etc...
We do this silly thing whenever one of us goes up the stairs in our house. We shout out I love you and good night or see you soon all the way up. It started when we moved here last year and everynight when Julie would go to bed she would give her kiss to whoever wasn't puting her down and then say good night and I love you as she went up the stairs. Because she is small it would take her longer to get up the stairs so when I say I love you too! Goodnight! She would say I LOVE YOU! And it would keep going over and over until she made it up the stairs lol
I dont have a ritual per say..we just say it a WHOLE lot around here.Sometimes we (my kids or DH and I) are in different rooms, and one of my kids will shout out "mom??".I say "yes?" and then they say "I love you!".My daughter will even sometimes shout it out whilst she´s on the toilet lol
