Are your kids at an age yet where you take them out on special mommy or daddy 'dates'? What kinds of things do you do? If you're not there yet, what kinds of things do you think you will like to do when you are?
I remember once when I was around 7 years old my Dad took me out to lunch and I felt like the most special person in the world. I spent a lot of one on one time with my Mom, but not so much my Dad. I know now that I want to make sure that our girls get special time with each parent.
As of now Frank will take Julie to the park for them to run around, and Julie comes with me when I go grocery shopping. I think she is almost ready to sit through a movie I am really looking forward to starting those kinds of outings.
My kids can usually choose what they want to do on the "date", most of the time they want to go to the library (we go every 2-3 weeks all of us anyway LOL), or to the store to spend some of their own money, and then we end up going for hot chocolate or something like that.
