I hope mine remember our lazy summer nights with a fire in the garden eating burned bbq food and enjoy the summer while it lasts.
I hope they remember our middle of the night explorations with flashlights, and our cheap British seaside resort holidays, story time and games but of course mostly how much I love them
Holiday traditions definitely! My parents were nuts with holidays (and still are) and unfortunately dh's weren't He still gets a bit bah humbug during Christmas but I hope I can slowly get him out of it to see the joy holidays were meant to bring families.
Miracle, your post really had me thinking. Good times are great of course, but feeling loved and supported - no matter what they did- I think that would be a real gift to a child, to know they can turn to you no matter how much they mess up and the love will be unshaken.
I hope I can give that to my children.
