So we have successfully gotten our 3 year old to stop using her paci! I posted about this a few weeks ago because my original plan was to just take it away when she turned 3... but that just seemed SO cruel to me! I talked to my DH and he agreed.. so since she turned 3 we've been asking her every night if she was ready to try to sleep with out it. and it was always.. "yes" and then as soon as she figured out that meant she couldnt have the paci she would say "no thanks, im still a little bit little"... So we didnt push it.. but finally a few nights ago she seemed willing to give it a go.. and my DH sat with her until she fell asleep.. when she went to bed, and also in the middle of the night after shed got up to go potty. ... So after just a few nights of sitting with her to fall asleep, last night she didnt even need that! She is paci free! And we did it with out any crying or tramatic experiences!! im SO releived! And also sleeping through the night with panties! but that was just something she seemed ready for by herself.. she wasnt wetting her pull ups for a long time so we made that switch. She is officially a BIG GIRL!

Man thats nice for you guys and your little girl!!!

It also fills me with hope as my own 31 month old still has and loves her Knung-knung(paci). And I have absolutely no idea how or when she will give it up and we will DEFINITELY NOT traumatize her either in giving it up.

So A huge THANK YOU on top of the congrats!!!!

That's wonderful! I was wondering how it went, and what you'd decided on doing
