Usually our night time routuine is I lay Emma down in her crib when she starts to get tired in the evening (usually around 8 or 9pm). She will usually wake up around midnight to nurse and at that point I will bring her to our room, nurse her, and then put her in the co-sleeper to sleep the rest of the night. (I don't like having her sleep in the co-sleeper when DH and/or myself is not in the room because sometimes the dog tries to crawl in there with Emma) Last night DH and I were ready to go to bed around 11. Emma was sound asleep in her crib. I'm a believer in never waking a sleeping baby, especially at night time, so I brought the baby monitor to our room and figured she would be up in the next hour or two. Well, she didn't wake up until 6 this morning! I missed her so much. I didn't realize how much I love having her in our room with us. A few times during the night I woke up and looked over at her empty co-sleeper and I was so tempted to go get her so I could see her sleeping and hear the cute little noises she makes sometimes when she sleeps.

Awe! I know how you feel. My LO is starting to like his crib more than our bed. I completely know what you mean with the missing your LO!

Awww. I can relate, Brayden has started doing this as well. But he wakes himself up by rolling into the side so I don't have to wait very long before I can go and get him!

When you're used to your baby being there, you can't sleep if she/he is not! My "baby" (nearly 22 months now) sleeps with us most of the night. On the occasion she sleeps in her crib longer than I expect or even until dawn, and I CANNOT sleep if she has not come to bed yet.
