Now that my LO is getting bigger, I'm curious as to what positions you and your LO find most comfortable when bf. We still use the cradle hold, but she was sitting on the bed this am and I was getting ready to feed her and as I pulled the bb out she leaned forward and tried to start eating...lol. I didn't think she would be comfy, but it got me thinking about what other positions she might like

Now that Emma is older I have found it easier to sit her across my lap to BF or lay on the bed so she can play and then come back when she is ready.

We use the cradle hold the most, but we nurse laying down quite a bit too. Sometimes Lincoln will just sit straddling my legs and nurse.

At this age he normally mostly sets on my lap - sometimes laying...but he will take any opportunity he has. I have had him try to latch when I am just changing clothes or if I happen to bend over to grab something (like when just out of the tub...LOL). Just wait...you haven't even hit the age of acrobatics! LOL Jonah used to try to change from laying across my lap to standing on my lap bent over & sticking one leg out...don't ask me why or what the appeal is. I think sometimes they just want to see if they can....

What seems to work best for us is me sitting on a bed or a chair and her standing. It cuts way down on the wiggle factor. I have tried the cradle hold few times still but sometimes she is just too wiggly. Another thing I do is to lay down and flash her a boob and let her come and pick her position. The smile she gives me when she spots the boob is just priceless. She really loves her boob so she always comes when offered.

Oh those moments seem so sweet until they slip while still attached!

It is funny to watch when they start walking because feeding is a whole new experience to them. I promise it's just a phase and they will calm down. (This one is really recent.)

Lily still seems to prefer cradle hold or side lying. She will sometimes just sit on my lap and lean in though as well

Michelle that one on the stairs cracks me up - that is totally Jonah if you just have her kick one leg out straight like karate style. Dh always laughs & says "he just defending his bbs". LOL

Cute photos

Ben would probably nurse upside-down if he could. As long as he can reach he doesn't care! Usually he lies across my lap, or we lie side-to-side together, or sometimes, if I am feeling very lazy, I slouch back into the couch, put my feet up on the stool, and he lies on his belly on top of my belly.

Michelle I love all your BF pictures

Pretty much whatever position she is comfortable with is what we go with. Sometimes she will nurse sitting up, but most the time she is laying in my lap or we are both laying in bed.
