That is a beautiful idea

I think if I were writing it I would focus on the positives...like "I promise I will always" and not "I will never" b/c you know at some point your LO will say "well you broke that promise" But if you focus on the positives at least you can say you tried your best. But that is just me.

Mine would say:

I promise I will always:
Love you, no matter how big you are.
Take the time to find animal shapes in the clouds with you.
Try to answer every "why?" you ask.
Kiss you good night.
Hug you every morning.
Cover you up, again, in the middle of the night.
Check for monsters under the bed and in the closet.
Hold you close just to feel your heartbeat.
Proudly display all artwork and report cards on the refridgerator.
Carry a picture of you with me to show to others.
Be there for you.
Hold your hand whenever possible.
Have a impomt pillow fight when you get that twinkle in your eyes.
Wipe away your tears.
Cry with you when your heart is broken.
Make you Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes even when you are grown.
Let you win at checkers.
Teach you all the wonders of nature.
Remember how it felt the 1st time I felt you move in my belly.
Give you oppertunities to grow.
Watch you dance with joy.
Go to every school play and award ceromony.
Show you how to make the world best chocolate chip cookies.
Play dress up with you even if there are dishes to be done.
Be proud that you are my daughter.

Those are a lot of the special things that Kaylie and I do just the two of us. Not sure if that is the type of parenting promise you are looking for but that is what I would tell my DD.
